Juan Lopes De Silva

Juan Lopes, born in Duque de Caxias, Brazil, on July 2, 1985, embarked on his journey in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 13, seeking a productive outlet for his abundant energy. Under the tutelage of Victor Hugo, he progressed steadily from a white to a black belt over a decade. Juan’s remarkable sporting success led him to assume leadership of the PRM Team in Duque de Caxias. Despite the demands of his grappling career, he maintained a profession outside the sport, showcasing his exceptional ability to balance both roles. His achievements as both an athlete and a coach defy convention in the modern jiu-jitsu landscape.
